Abstract
A scheme for reliably decoding Manchester encoded signals is presented. The methods used in this scheme include detecting the rising edge of the incoming data, sampling the incoming data at a particular point, aligning the incoming data and detecting error in received data. This scheme improves the efficiency of synchronization at the receiver and provides an error indication output for wrongly received data. This designed decoder is implemented on FPGA and used in a Wireless ECG monitoring system for decoding purpose.
