Abstract

Engineering Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Science & Technology Technology
This paper presents a detailed analysis of the RC polyphase network. A new approach based on very basic principles is used to derive the transfer functions of the RC polyphase network when it is used for quadrature signal generation. The 0 degrees-phase and 90 degrees-phase signals' mismatch is described. quantitively in this paper. A quadrature signal generator with a center frequency of 2.45GHz and a bandwidth of 300MHz has been designed. This designed generator provides 350mV output swing with 1.95mW power consumption. The quadrature signals have less than 0.5dB mismatch in amplitude and less than 0.5 degrees phase error even with 15% component variation.
