Abstract

Conference Title: 2014 XXXIth URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium (URSI GASS) Conference Start Date: 2014, Aug. 16 Conference End Date: 2014, Aug. 23 Conference Location: Beijing, China This paper presents the design of fully differential injection locked frequency divider (ILFD) using area efficient inter-coupled differential injection enhancement of input signal. Fabricated in 65nm CMOS process technology, the proposed inter-coupled differential injection enhanced ILFD achieves twice the locking range with half the area in comparison with the single-ended inductor injection enhancement techniques. Without any varactor tuning, the divider achieves a locking range of 10.5% with an injected power of 0 dBm. The divider delivers an output power of -7 dBm and the DC power consumption is 3.6 mW.
