Abstract
This paper analyses a flow transmission water pipe system and examines the effect of the variation of the skill of the maintenance personnel and the threshold demand value on the reliability and performance of the multi-state system under the predictive maintenance framework using a simple interactive mathematical model that makes use of the Markov Chain process and the Universal Generating Function approach.
