Conference Title: 2018 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting Conference Start Date: 2018, July 8 Conference End Date: 2018, July 13 Conference Location: Boston, MA, USA This paper presents how to apply a new scattering model to the prediction of electromagnetic (EM) scattering from objects in the presence of underlying rough surface. The newly developed scattering model is more consistent with the real scenario through the adoption of finite beam source, considering the perturbation from the illuminated rough surface with using hybrid shooting and bouncing rays-physical optics (SBR-PO) method, and taking into account infinite environment effects using half-space Green's function. Numerical results obtained validate the proposed method and its implementation.
