Abstract
It is very complex and changeful of engineering geologic condition and hydro-geologic condition. There are many potential safety hazards in engineering construction, such as fault belt, karst erosion area and aquiferous stratum etc. So the geologic prediction task is very crucial, which could give an effective prediction of the frontal harmful geology bodies and decrease the number of unwanted accident considerably. In this paper, the basic theory of tunnel geology prediction is presented; the data processing rules and the evaluation rules of the inversion results are also discussed. The TSP data properties and the seismic wave propagation characters of various harmful geology bodies are analyzed, such as underground river, limestone cavity with water, limestone cavity with mud, soft stratum belt, dry limestone cavity, fault infection area, cranny growth up area and canny water containing area, etc. The application instance illustrated that the TSP system has a good predictive effect on water containing area, clay containing area, limestone cavity, cranny growth up area, etc [Ding G H, Huang K. 2005].
