Conference Title: 2020 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO)Conference Start Date: 2020, May 10 Conference End Date: 2020, May 15 Conference Location: San Jose, CA, USAWe demonstrate universal conversion of topological singularities in momentum-space (Dirac points) to topological defects in real-space (optical vortices). We show that this conversion persists even in stretched lattices, topologically protected by a quantized Berry phase.
