Abstract
Most feedback modalities on a mobile device are used in a standalone fashion. We present a new insight into creating robust multimodal feedback patterns to allow for us to surface more information to the user. We ran a single experiment to evaluate how accurate our approach of combining three modalities is. The three modalities are a rolling ball haptic feedback, a vibration motor and a thermoelectric peltier module. Results suggested that vibration used in combination with the other 2 could be confusing to the user. Instead, using the rolling ball haptic feedback and the thermoelectric peltier module could be the way forward.
