Abstract

Land scarcity is one of the crippling issues that the world faces today, with exisiting solutions fast becoming obsolete. This thesis explores the idea of a self-sustaining city in the sea. Cities can now be perceived as fluid and mobile responding more flexibly to external stimulus. With a prototypical city being developed , cities can be adapted to face various situations and gradually gain independence from land to form truly sustainable seasteading living.
