Abstract
This thesis proposed a GaN-based high efficiency design of energy storage system inverter, since there is no integrated circuit including all modules. This thesis first conducts detailed investigation including function, specification and operation of the main three modules of energy storage system. Next, the selection of existing GaN HEMT models from EPC was made by studying different specification of GaN models and finding appropriate models for each module. The efficiency of power conversion of each module has higher than 90 %. The output power of final proposed energy storage system inverter was 1230 W in very consistent way.
