Abstract
Online shopping is a fast-growing sector. People are getting more of their stuff online now than ever, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic.The same is with online grocery shopping. According to The Business Insider, the Online Grocery Shopping market doubled between 2016-2018. The 2019 pandemic hastened the pace as more people turn to online grocery shopping because of health and safety reasons, being in a position of little choice with their limited mobility due to lockdown measures. While many shopping platforms exist, there are some function gaps that online grocery shopping does not bridge for offline shopping. A preliminary study was carried out to measure the impact of Perceived usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Enjoyment, Perceived Security and User satisfaction have on the adoption of online grocery shopping after the covid restrictions were being lifted. The study also aimed to identify pain points Singapore users face when shopping for groceries online. And build a prototype to try ease some of the pain points and improve on the significant factors that affects the technology adoption of Online Grocery shopping. The testing of the prototype showed that additional visual information than existing Online Grocery Shopping platforms may improve the Perceived usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use of the product.
