Abstract
There has been an ongoing fascination with the unknown galactic system, especially that of Mars due to its close correlation to the Earth’s environment. As such, this has given rise to the development of spacecraft systems, with independent firms such as, SpaceX and Virgin Galactic, taking the lead. These firms are propagating a new system that could greatly reduce the price of space travel for the general public with the slated timeline of 2022. This is coupled with the Mars One program which consists of the Mars colonisation by 2025 and Bigelow proposing an inflatable habitation pod for temporary research and dwelling labs. In addition, extensive research on cultivating plants on Martian soil which will sustain living on Mars in the long run. Hence, this has given rise to a growing interest on the possible developmentof dwellings on Mars and the potentials for humans to live there in the longrun.
