Abstract
Death is inevitable for everyone, yet it is seen as a taboo. We are not encouraged to talk about it or to even think about it. The idea of death becomes socially repressed and hidden, though the reality of it is often more personal. This thesis will focus on two main topics – how the city deals with death and how the future demands for more sustainable approaches to what is currently being done.
