Abstract
When asked to imagine the future, it is hard for one to be optimistic. Global warming, rising sea levels, nuclear threats, and even biochemical warfare is becoming a real threat. The doomsday clock is nearer to midnight than it has ever been. An apocalypse would bring about a myriad of issues never thought about before. The idea of an apocalypse decimating the world is awfully depressing. This thesis would explore how architecture for the apocalypse can turn that psychology around, bringing positivity to humanity via architecture and how people live. What then about Singapore? Though politically and geographically stable, this small country has seen its fair share of threats through its short years of independence. Speculation into the future as to what kind of threats would affect us and how we can remain resilient and hopeful in those times are critical.
