Abstract

However, learning spaces of today still remain largely similar to those from the 1800s. At the same time with the introduction of online portals, the a bility to participate in online learning courses has resulted in an alternative way to g ain an education and accreditation. One which is able to take place online without o ne ever needing to physically come to a learning institute or campus. In light of this, the relevance of learning spaces of the present come in to question. With an awareness of how present, future technologies and resea rch that has been introduced since the first conception of learning spaces, the f ollowing research is an attempt to see how such advancements can be integrated into different types of spaces to form improved learning spaces, and how a set of such spaces may come together to form a well connected network which may serve as fo rm of improved learning institution that still remains relevant for the presen t and for the future to come.
