Abstract
The premise of the thesis was the merger of 28 schools in 2019. My thesis intervention attempts to break this cycle of schools being faced out. By creating a new school typology that can be flexible to accommodate the yearly change in enrolment numbers and also adaptable in the long run should the building cease its function as a school. My thesis looks at Singapore Schools and how they can be designed for flexibility and adaptability. Flexibility deals with enrolment and pedagogical changes that a school might face while adaptability deals with long term changes when the building might serve different uses than just a school.
