Abstract
Throughout the history of stadium, this unique building type has been a multi-faceted and tangible embodiment of a society. From the Colosseum in Rome and the ball courts of the Maya to the multi-billion-dollar Olympic stadium today, the stadium plays an important role of connectivity and emblematic civic pride. Today, it is often seen as a symbol of a country or a city status economically, and it is also become the place where everyone come together to be a part of something larger than themselves. We all witnessing the special moment of sports which the arenas were built for. Stadium facade remains one of the most important exterior elements for its functionality. While the façade is an elegant component that helps to define the unique architectural aesthetics of the stadium, it also has the critical role related to energy performance and the functions of the stadium. As technology continues to improve, different options of facade designs become available for incorporation into stadium facades. There elements are geared toward improvement of the envelope performance such as roof coverings to provide protection from rain and wind, and offer shade from the sun and heat during hot weather. In this paper, I will discuss more on current local community stadium and propose new facade geometry for one of the local community stadium.
