A lightweight high-power microwave (HPM) frequency- and polarization-tunable system is proposed and demonstrated in this letter. This system comprises three principal components: a novel lightweight frequency-tunable relativistic magnetron (RM), a compact back-fed wideband mode converter (MC), and a small-aperture linearly polarized (LP) radiation antenna (RA). Experimental results validate continuous frequency tuning from 1.85 to 2.44 GHz. Over this tuning range, the system generates an average output power of approximately 120 MW, corresponding to an average efficiency of 22%. A notable achievement is the realized polarization tunability of radiated mode without the use of a separate polarizer. Furthermore, the total weight of the entire HPM system is constrained to below 30 kg, which significantly enhances the mobility and flexibility for diverse applications.
