Abstract
Greatwall kinase is a conserved regulator of mitotic entry, and new work in
Xenopus egg extracts (
Yu et al., 2006) shows that Greatwall is required for the positive feedback loop that removes inhibitory tyrosine phosphate from the central mitotic regulatory kinase Cdc2.
